of friendship,
and meet many fascinating guests along the way.
The sleepy town of
Acorn Hill is in for a surprise when the three Howard sisters reunite
after the death of their father. Each has inherited a share of his
worn-down Victorian house, and they dream of turning the family home
into a bed-and-breakfast.
But these three
women are as different as siblings can be—can they survive living
together, let alone going into business together? It looks like their
dream may be headed for disaster!
Only by learning to
work together, trusting in God, and accepting a little help from their
friends can the three sisters see Grace Chapel Inn open its doors.

Through these precious, fragile pages of the recipe book, Jane comes to
discover the spirit of her mother, Madeleine, who died while giving
birth to Jane. But when the inn gets busy and money troubles threaten,

Once readers visit
the sleepy town of Acorn Hill, they’ll never want to leave…
While giving the
laundry room of Grace Chapel Inn a thorough cleaning, Alice Howard finds
an old hatbox containing her father’s teenage journal dating back to the
early 1900s. As Alice reads it aloud each evening to her sisters, Louise
and Jane, the hidden history of their beloved father sheds new light on
his life and their own.
Meanwhile, a guest
at Grace Chapel Inn turns out to be the sister of Mark Graves, a
veterinarian Alice dated back in nursing school. Jane invites him to
dinner and Alice and Mark end up doing late night surgery on a
plum-pit-eating pig. Will the time they’ve spent together lead to more?

Book Bargains Review

I found all three books in this
serious charming. I received them all at the same time, so I
was able to read them one after another and once I began reading I
found them hard to put down. I love the way Melody Carlson
writes and, though I'm new to Judy Baer, I found her style easy to
read also.
I
love the characters in
this book. The three Howard sisters are as different as night and
day and the authors do a good job in weaving these differences into a
tale about trusting in God, and learning to work together.
If
you are going to buy one book, I recommend that you purchase them all.
You won't be disappointed!
