Crime
& Clutter is the second title of the lighthearted mystery
series focusing on the friendship and adventures of six "fortyish"
women, who have dubbed themselves the Friday Afternoon Club.
Caught up in the everyday challenges of carpool, ballet lessons, and
never-ending laundry - this feisty group of moms find themselves
acting as sleuths to unravel the mysteries and predicaments they
encounter.
Mary Alice is the domestic diva of the group, but she's been keeping
a secret in the form of a stash of clutter in a nearby storage
facility. Shocked by her uncharacteristic behavior, the group
forces her to clear out the personal effects of Mary Alice's
estranged father who has been missing for more than a year.
They are surprised to find that her father's legacy is a 1963 VW
minibus that holds the memorabilia of his life and raises questions
about his life and death. Never willing to let a mystery
simmer, the Friday Afternoon Club sets out on a mission to discover
answers to Mary Alice's questions about her father's life - taking
them on a journey into the sixties counterculture - where the lines
of truth and morality are blurred.
Includes fun, easy, and tantalizing recipes.

Plain and simple, this is a fun book. I enjoyed the characters
as well as their crazy antics. No matter what your personality,
you will find a character that you can relate to in this book...and you
will see your own friends and family in others.
Traveling through the 1960s, the plot takes many twists and turns and
you will encounter many surprises along the way.
One nice treat in these books are all the wonderful recipes that are
shared and the household tips the author gives in the story.
All in all, the book was enjoyable and I recommend it.
