Grandmother's
Cookbook
By: Elizabeth Rose von Hohen
Retail price $19.95
Book description: The
country cooking within the pages of Grandmother's Cookbook
reflects Elizabeth Rose's family heritage. There are recipes from
her German-Hungarian mother, Anna Griffaton, who brought them over
from the old country. Her Mother's Pot Roast, Hungarian Goulash and
Bread Dumplings have been made hundreds of times. How can you forget
those tried and true family treasures?
As a pastry chef in Vienna,
Elizabeth's Aunt Rose passed down several gourmet dessert recipes
such as Bohemian Nut Slices and Linzer Torte. They are so beautiful
and look like they should be pictured in a magazine!
This heirloom cookbook, also referred
to as a family history cookbook, is filled with nostalgia. In the
end Grandmother's Cookbook not only preserves
Elizabeth's recipes, but captures a slice of her family's life and
the love they share.

This was a really unique cookbook. It had so many wonderful
recipes I couldn't wait to get started trying them out.
Besides the great recipes, this book was attractive in its
presentation. The watercolors were beautiful and the recipes
weren't typed, but done in calligraphy. It has a very
"vintage" look to it.
Besides being a wonderful addition to your own cookbook
collection, it makes a wonderful gift.
