Book Bargains Review

I just loved this story. The more I got into it, I couldn't
put it down. This book had me hooked on the first page because the
it was so exciting with interesting characters and storylines.
Bateman's historical insight into the plight of blacks and some
whites between 1848 and 1948 was deep and not sugarcoated.
This was one of the best books I have read in a long time. I am
looking forward to the next book in the series, Freedom of the
Soul.
