Liberty Letters is a wonderful series of historical fiction for ages 9-12.  The stories are interesting as well as historically accurate.  Attack at Pearl Harbor is a well-written story about Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor.  This is an excellent resource for homeschoolers.
