As a lover of books, I am happy to hear from authors and publicists
about review opportunities. I review books personally, but I also
have several reviewers that post reviews to Book Bargains &
Previews. Many times, we also post our reviews on
Amazon.com as well.
I am willing to review books in almost any genre, but I prefer books
that are "family friendly" and not sexually explicit. I do,
however, prefer the following genres (in no particular order):
Christian - either fiction or non-fiction
Non-Fiction
Fiction
Biographies/Memoirs
Chick Lit
Young Adult
Children
Contemporary/Literary fiction
Historical Fiction
Women's Issues
Crime Stories (Fiction & Non-Fiction)
Self-Help
Health
Due to the number of books I receive, I am selective of the books
that I choose to review, but I do my best to get the books out to
reviewers in my sphere.
My usual turnaround for a book review once received is about 1-2
months, with the exception of blog tours and special requests. I do
send out an email that includes a link once I have posted my review.
I usually also post my reviews on
Amazon and
Christianbook.com. I usually only post positive reviews.
I'm more interested in promoting books that I feel have value and
will be enjoyed then giving negative feedback on a book that might
just not be my taste but other will like. Therefore, if you
don't see your review posted on the site, I probably didn't like it,
but feel free to contact me to check up on the title.
